Leaf Has Arrived!

It was the dinner hour.

I was outside, fighting with the barbeque, and when I returned to the kitchen there they were. Three boxes with Blitzprint clearly printed on the side and my guys (all three of them) hiding around the corner watching my reaction.

I had envisioned this moment many times, but was still entirely unprepared.

I walked — very slowly — to the boxes and just stared at them.

I chose a box and opened it — very slowly — pulled out the top book and stared

and stared and stared and stared.

And then I cried.

It was so amazing to finally hold that book in my hand.

I flipped through every single page . . . slowly.

And then I did the Happy Dance!

With Stephen. With Gabriel. And with Jacob.

The three biggest gifts in my life.

Thank you for supporting me every step of the way through this gargantuan project.

I love you!

(And yes, Jacob, I will always love you more mostest!)

Here they are!

And Jacob wanted you to know that they also got the Kally stamp of approval.

Thank you all for your kind words. It is a thrilling time indeed! And, Rhonda, it’s only been a few days, but already I don’t travel anywhere without at least a few copies of Leaf with me. Do you find that’s the same for you, Valerie? Is Hedley your constant travel companion?

Just saw your comment, Colleen. Thank you! And it’s been extra special to be able to share this journey with Anna and Tesia and Jacob and all the other kids in Georgie’s class. I’m going in on the 20th to show them all the final product and we can do the Happy Dance together.
